Position Summary
Psychiatrists are responsible for evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with mental, emotional and behavioral disorders. They conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and evaluate treatment results.

Responsibilities

    • Evaluates patients by – interviewing patients, family and other persons, conducting physical examinations, observing behaviors, reviewing medical history and related documents, selecting, administering and interpreting psychological tests and ordering laboratory tests and evaluating results.
    • Develop treatment plans by determining the nature and extent of cognitive, emotional, developmental, social and behavioral disorders. Establish treatment goals and methodologies.
    • Treat patients using psychotherapeutic methods and medications, discuss progress towards goals with patients, provide instructions and regularly monitor the effect of medications.
    • Maintain interdisciplinary treatment by reviewing treatment plans and progress.
    • Assure quality and safe service for patients and staff by enforcing policies, procedures, standards, rules and legal regulations.
    • Maintain historical records by documenting symptoms, medications and treatment events.
    • Adhere to all policies and procedures of Inland Psychiatric Medical Group Inc. including, but not limited to, confidentiality and appropriate boundaries with clients.
    • Update job knowledge by participating in continuing medal educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.

Requirements
Doctor of Medicine Degree and California Medical License.
